Pinnacle Express and Travel Plaza Launches Month-Long Fundraiser for Prairie Grit
Pinnacle Express Presents Prairie Grit with a check at the 2023 Annual Adaptive Fishing Day at Van Hook.
Pinnacle Express and Travel Plaza is once again rallying its customers to make a difference. Throughout the month of June, Pinnacle Express and Travel Plaza locations in Minot, Stanley, and Tioga will host a community fundraising campaign in support of Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports.
Customers can contribute by purchasing a signature fish-shaped sign, writing their name or a message of support, and proudly displaying it on the store walls. Every dollar raised goes directly to Prairie Grit, which provides life-changing adaptive sports opportunities to individuals with physical and developmental challenges.
Last year, this grassroots effort raised an impressive $20,000—and Pinnacle and Prairie Grit hope to top that number in 2025.
“We’re honored to continue our partnership with Prairie Grit,” said Nate Aucker, representative of Pinnacle Express. “This campaign is a fun and simple way for our communities to get involved in something that truly matters. Every fish on our walls represents a child or adult who gets the chance to move, play, and grow.”
Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports offers year-round programming in everything from wheelchair basketball to adaptive fishing, supporting participants from across northwest North Dakota.
“It’s partnerships like this that fuel our mission,” said Krystal Butgereit, Executive Director of Prairie Grit. “The support from Pinnacle and their customers helps us provide equipment, coaching, and accessible opportunities to athletes of all ages and abilities. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that takes on big efforts like this to support our mission.”
Signature Fish signs will be available at all Pinnacle locations through the end of June.
