Pinke Power: Wheelchair Basketball Clinic
Pinke Power is a two-day wheelchair basketball clinic led by Hunter Pinke, offering skill development, coaching, and gameplay for adaptive athletes.
Youth Wheelchair Basketball
Youth Wheelchair Basketball teaches adaptive athletes the fundamentals of wheelchair basketball with sports chairs provided. Free program held on Sundays in spring.
Adult Wheelchair Basketball
Adult Wheelchair Basketball offers adults of all abilities a chance to develop skills and play in a supportive environment at the YMCA. Free program with equipment provided.
Easter Egg Splash
Easter Egg Splash offers adaptive families a water-based Easter egg hunt and open swim time in a supportive setting. Prize bags are provided for each child.
Adaptive Winter Golf
Adaptive Golf at The Bunker provides indoor golf simulator sessions for adaptive participants ages 5 through adult. Free program offered on Thursdays in February.
Adaptive Bowling at North Hill Bowl
Adaptive Bowling at North Hill Bowl offers athletes ages 5+ the chance to bowl in a supportive environment. $5 per session, 15 participants max.
Wild West Rodeo for Special Kids
The Wild West Rodeo gives adaptive athletes ages 5+ the chance to experience rodeo events, followed by a pizza party celebration.
Halloween Fun Hour at the YMCA
Halloween Fun Hour at the YMCA offers children with special needs and their families a safe space to enjoy costumes, games, and treats.
Cross Country with Minot Parks
Adaptive Cross Country, run in partnership with the Minot Park District, offers adaptive walk/run/roll heats at the Youth Cross Country meets. Free to participate and inclusive for all abilities.
All Kids Swim Lessons
All Kids Swim is a community program hosted by the Minot Family YMCA with support from Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports. The program provides small-group swim lessons designed to help children build water safety, confidence, and foundational swimming skills in a supportive setting.
Adaptive Swim Meet
The Fall Swim Meet is an adaptive swim event for athletes of all abilities. Swimmers will have the chance to demonstrate their skills, participate in races, and enjoy time in the water with friends and family. This event is designed to celebrate progress, encourage participation, and provide a fun, supportive atmosphere for athletes and their families.
PG Pedal Club – Summer Bike Group
PG Pedal Club is a summer biking group for adaptive participants looking to ride in a safe, structured environment. This event is open to riders ages 5 and up using their own bikes or borrowing from Prairie Grit’s fleet of adaptive cycles. Available bikes include recumbent bikes, hand cycles, and tricycles in a variety of sizes.
BurliMOT Adaptive Mile
The Scheels BurliMOT Adaptive Run, Walk & Roll is a one-mile inclusive event for individuals with disabilities of all ages and mobility levels. Whether using a wheelchair, walker, or simply moving at your own pace, participants are encouraged to run, walk, or roll through a supportive and celebratory course.
Summer Unplugged
Summer Unplugged is a free community program hosted by the Minot Family YMCA in partnership with Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports and supported by HESS. This inclusive event series offers fun, themed activities for kids of all ages throughout July. Each session is designed to promote movement, creativity, and connection in a welcoming environment open to the entire community.
Sled Hockey Development Camp
The Sled Hockey Development Camp is a multi-day training experience co-hosted by Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports and Team USA. This annual event is open to adaptive athletes of all skill levels and includes on-ice instruction, off-ice workouts, and skill-building sessions led by Team USA players and coaches.
Adaptive Hunting
Prairie Grit Outdoors provides adaptive hunting opportunities and skill-building programs for individuals with physical or mental impairments. Participants can pursue a variety of game—turkey, deer, antelope, and bear—based on their experience level and readiness. The program also includes access to hunter safety education, range nights, and mentorship to help hunters progress at their own pace.
LEGO Club
LEGO Club offers children with special needs ages 5 and up a fun and inclusive environment to build, create, and connect. Hosted in the YMCA Community Room, this weekly club features engaging LEGO-based activities designed to support fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, visual perception, problem-solving, and social interaction. Participants are encouraged to bring a friend or sibling to join in the fun.
Adaptive Curling
Adaptive Curling provides participants of all abilities the opportunity to learn and play the sport in an inclusive and supportive environment. Adaptive equipment and modifications ensure that everyone can participate, whether standing or using a wheelchair. Coaches will be available to provide instruction and guidance.
Sled Hockey – Prairie Grit Wolves
Sled Hockey with the Prairie Grit Wolves is an adaptive hockey program designed for individuals with physical disabilities. Using specially designed sleds, athletes of all skill levels can participate in this fast-paced, competitive sport. Equipment is available for those who need it.
Adaptive Gymnastics with Gymagic
Adaptive Gymnastics at Gymagic Gymnastics helps athletes ages 3–16 build strength, balance, and confidence. One of Prairie Grit’s most popular programs. Additionally, gymnasts may have the chance to compete in the HUGS division of USA Gymnastics.
